Pianist Carol Conrad was born in Chicago and trained as a pianist at The University of Southern California and The Juilliard School of Music in New York.  Carol Conrad has since 1993 acted as repetitør and accompanist at the Royal Teater, The Royal Danish Academy of Music, The New Theater,  the New Opera, Opera Academy, Carl Nielsen International Competition, the Danish Radio and has held a position as solo repetiteur at The Royal Opera in Copenhagen.   Carol has co-founded OperetteKompagniet together with Thomas Peter Koppel.  

 

Already from college time Carol worked as an accompanist and repetitør at The Juilliard Opera Center, The Juilliard School of Music, Aspen Music Festival, Riverside Chorale, etc. At The Juilliard School of Music, she has accompanied the master classes with prominent artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, Leontyne Price, Arlene Auger, Simon Estes, Yo-Yo Ma, Wynton Marsalis, Lynn Harrell and Dorothy DeLay. Carol Conrad has received a number of prizes and scholarships, including Victor Schiøler scholarship, Levi, Kleppel & Dubinsky Fund scholarships Frinna Awerbuch International Piano Competition, New York, Jersey Young Artists Competition, New York, Chicago Musical Arts Society Music Award, MacDowell Artists Society Music Award.

 

Carol Conrad appears as soloist, chamber musician and accompanist in concerts in Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France and USA and is a recognized producer / musical arranger with many CD-recordings on her resume.
